I have a pretty serious delima with my oil return line. I was going to just plumb it into the oil drain, but couldnt find anything threaded like it. So my next option was to drill the hole out and rethread it, but all 4 of the hardware stores here dont carry taps. One store had a small kit that went up to 1/4" but that was it. I need a 3/8" to 1/2" tap. It really sux because everything else is pretty much done, I just need an oil return.
Any ideas, or anyone have one i can use? I'd gladly buy it or pay shipping to use it.

I have set of taps I could loan ya, but If you only need one, It would probly cost the same amount to just buy it and keep it. Any way you want to do it. I'll go buy one and ship it to you or you can barrow one from me if you pay shipping.

The turbo is off a Cummins M11, that I worked on this last weekend. I have a pretty big set of taps, I only have two NPT taps 1/8 and 1/4 I think. but a hole set of taps from 5/16-1/2 NC and NF. just let me know what size you want, I'll sent it to ya.

Has a anybody ever considered a closed loop oil system with its own cooler for a rear mount turbo? Similar to what a circle track car uses for the rear. You would still use the same electric pump, but with maybe a large fluid cooler and electric fan. Might be an issue in cold weather to get it up to operating temp, but you could always toggle the fan. I think you could easily keep it cool though since the turbo is rear mounted an dit would be using its own dedicated fluid.

Its a good idea, but I am trying to stay away from the whole electric pump thing. The be sure my turbo was higher than the pan level I added a 2" body lift so i had more room where the spare tire went. STS also has one kit for a car i believe that the turbo is mounted high enough there is no need for the pump.
