Default non intercooled kits who runs them??

I was considering a few more mods but I am torn. I really love the simplicity price and install of the non intercooled kits.
Who has any experience. How much boost. I want a tad more thump to my daily commute. I have a stock lq9 with fast intake fans and yank 2600
Possible to run 5psi without meth daily?

Considering you can make your own intercooler kit for round $200 and a days worth of work. It kinda seems like a no brainer to not run a intercooled setup.

I run mine at 9 psi on a stock 6.0 made 430 rwhp before I ran out of fuel on my 42lbrs that's going through a 4l80 and a 14 bolt rear end.I'll be putting meth on it, my tuner said it should make at least a 100 more rwhp timing is only set at 8 degrees

I'm wanting to buy a non intercooled kit too! I had an Sts kit non intercooled back in the day and it worked good until I got power hungry on stock injectors! So now I'm gonna get me some injectors and keep boost low!

8 degrees of timing? Exactly why you should add an intercooler before even considering Meth. I bet you're leaving 50-70 HP on the table by not dropping $200-$300 on an intercooler and piping.

OP - You'd be money and HP ahead by selling the FAST and adding a FMIC to what ever plans you have. It's just plain lame not to run an intercooler considering they are basically the least expensive part of running FI. It would be like adding a cam amd intake NA and deciding to skip LT headers and a catback.

I vote a intercooler. I ran a really simple water/air setup that didnt cost hardly anything.
The harder you run it, the less lower your gonna be able to make.
To me it makes no sense to go boost without an intercooler especially if your gonna run pump gas.
Now if it were an alcohol motor, that would be a different story.

Non intercooled kits are a perfect entry level set up.
When Somr one wants to get into boost on a budget or have no plans to go over 6-7 psi.
Now we all know that it takes no time to start wanting more boost.
famous last works " Just a little more".

Nonintercooled kit now because its cheaper and gets ya smiling sooner, build your own intercooler set up for under 250 next cause its fun and makes the project your own. Save meth for later . My .02

PS Intercooling it is cheaper than meth...
