Default no boost and other good news

Well i finally got my together and got the supercharger in. At first I had to shim to get the belt from riding back so I got that figured out and took it for a drive. Sitting at idle I have about 15-20 lbs of vacume and I took it to red line and the guage might have broken even zero boost. If I hold it at any rpm it goes back into vacume again. Any how no extra power what so ever, if anything it felt restricted. Well after shredding the belt I made it back home on the stock spare and pulled everything apart. Now I have a nice coating of oil on the intake side of the compressor as well as the discharge tube all the way into the intake. The only place that it could have come from is the supply as the intake has a cone filter and the discharge goes straight to the throttle body. Got a hold of paxton as and they don't have a clue as to whats going on as the novi isn't for the 5.3. I made it work. All they could figure is that the supercharger is too small for the engine. I have the smallest pulley avaliable and theres a ton of air but wheres it going? As far as I know thers no leak ar any leak big enough to get rid of that much air

What engine is that blower designed for? No matter what I would think it would make a pound or two.

The oil is coming form the supercharger? You had to tap your oil pan, right? Or is it supposed to be sealed?

When I had oil blowing back into my intake I had 4 pistons with broken rings But, I still made boost.

Its made for the 5.0 mustang but they do make the similar one for my truck. Yeah the oils definately comeing from the charger. It gets fed and then drains back into the engine. I looked and the one I have and the one for my truck, thers only 60 cfm smaller and about 30 hp difference

Well paxton figures that the supercharger is too small for my engine and thats why i'm showing no boost. I ain't expert but i felt the ammount of air comeing from that thing and I just can't see that along with a couple buddies.

A NA Cam can blled all the boost off.We has a Z06 Vette make 2lbs of boost(only above 6000rpm) but still made 160rwhp more. With a supercharger timing table it made no hp.We ran almost the same timing as a NA car and picked up that 160hp.

Well I just talked with a buddy and he looked and he thinks that the belt is slipping. He was saying that the belt may not slip in the garage because there's no load but as soon as you get upto 6000k rpms it might slip and the fact that it threw the belt at about those rpms, might confirm his notion. So I'll get the smallest belt I can possibly fit.

This might be stupid, but isn't a mustang blower a different rotation?

well it does discharge towards the drivers side but that worked to my advantage as i'm running an intercooler. So I have a 90 out of the charger which points it to the front of the truck and towards the intercooler and I route the rest to make a loop to the throttlebody.

I think what he meant is wouldn't the blower spin backwards.. Might want to check that
