Well got the smaller belt on today, took 2 people to pry it on and went out for a boot.
Not impressed, it looked to make mabey only 2 lbs of boost and didn't take off any faster than normal, didn't even spin the tires. It did get me to the speed limiter alot faster than normal, but all in all I think if thats all its got, then it was a waist of money.

Do you have belt dust all over? Do you still have the pulley that came w/ the blower? Maybe you could try the original pulley. Maybe your belt is slipping from such a small pulley. Does that cam have a lot of overlap?

No theres no new dust an I looked at the belt and all's ok. Thats the pulley that I ordered, if it ain't makin boost theres no way a larger one would. The cam specs are 212/218 522/529 114.

Lets see if I can help.

I take it this is a home made kit for a 5.3 chevy, and the blower came from a 5.0 ford.
You have picked up a smaller belt to help with any slip issue.

1. Take off the in and out tubes from the blower.
2. Hook up anything from the MAF to the throttle body. We want the truck to run normal.
3. The blower does rotate in the opposite direction on a ford.
to make sure you have it set up right, after you did 2. rev the truck, make sure it is sucking in and
Blowing out the right direction.
now if your work was done right and the blower is working like it should, you should have a very strong
Pressure coming out of the blower the higher you rev it.
4. your home made kit did not come with directions, their are things to move and seal off because they
Will bleed off your boost pressure.
4.1 Off of the header is your EGR hook up.
Take this apart and remove the gasket, on a peace of thick sheet metal, trace the gasket out and cut out this peace, and drill the holes for the bolts, do not cut out the center, your making a plug.
When your finished place the gasket on the bottom, plug on top, slip in place and blot it up.
4.2 on the side of the throttle body is a connection for a hose, this hose runs from the top of the valve cover
to the throttle body, disconnect this hose and cap the tube on the throttle body, use a zip tie on the cap
To keep it from blowing off.
4.3 Plug the holes for the bypass valve, their is a chance the bypass valve is bad.
5.0 hook all of the pipe back up to the supercharger, time for a test run.
let us know if we are on the right track and more help will come.

Yeah its still blowin oil, vortech wants $450us to re-seal it, but it shouldn't need that as I am the first to use it. And no warrenty as it was of ebay.
At this point I don't have the blow off valve on yet kind behind. I will post a photo later today. And pappy dan....I'll get back to y'all on that.
