Im about to change my setup some and have 2 options im trying to weigh out..
Option 1... My 5.3 is only got 13k miles on rebuild and is in great shape still. My problem is i built this motor with some N2O in mind so my compression is 10.3:1 and my cam is not really "turbo oriented" and with stock heads the 1.90 valve and the .522 low lift is killing me. SO.... Im thinking a new cam,(Tu0 speedinc) and some 243's would drop compression to 9.9:1, pick up some flow, and i can raise the boost for a good bit more power i think im leaving on the table..
Option 2.. I have an 06 lq4 sitting in my garage now... rebuild it with some decent bearings/rings... tu0 speedinc cam..and stock 317's. Downsides to this is the time required to build engine, and doing the swap. Plus i dunno if the power difference would be enough to justify dumping the 5.3 for the 6.0?
What would you guys do... My main issue with the whole 6.0 is its hard to find the time/place/tools to do a motor swap, where as i can do a H/C swap in a few hours in my garage.

What's your main reason for wanting to change up?
I say #1 man. Get the compression back down around 9.5:1 like the stock 5.3s are and through a Isky tripple 12 cam like Stock48 has been telling people to use and I bet it will run pretty good. Im just not sure of the lift spec on that Isky cam. I would maybe look into going to a 3.5"-4" exhaust as well since you have the T76.
Im sure someone with much more knowledge will chime in soon!

Just kinda bored with current setup... I hit my 11 second goal.. but I also know there is a lot left in this 5.3. I just don't know if putting more money in the 5.3 would make sense when I have a 6.0 sitting around. Really no way to get back to 9.5 cr unless I go 317 and it would be even less. 243's/799's will get me back to stock l33 compression.

Guess we all want to have both... street power is awesome to have and what I prefer being a dd... but unfortunately around here NOBODY will even try play on the street so I'm forced to go to the track to even get a race lol. Went few 11.91 and a 11.88 passes at 111 and I know the motor has more. I figure a better cam and heads can easily get some more out of it. Plus since I did 80e swap I would like to have some more power and may eventually change gears back to a 3.73 or something.

I forgot about the 80e... That could be something else sucking power especially with the 3.23s youre running. I know it has a pretty tall first gear as is and I bet some 3.73s would help out.

I like option 1. Do the heads/cam/add boost, and try to get the truck trapping 12x mph. Adding meth and retuning would be a good idea to pick up some power.
After getting your power level up, start working on that 60' for better ET's. Gear down to 3.73/3.90's, add a 2 step, etc... Basically get it to the point where it will either cut a sixty around 1.6 or less or just blow the tires off. If it does the latter, then start working on the suspension.
That's what I would do.
