So it just delayed shutting the bypass until you had some boost on? Hmmm... might be nice to keep the truck out of boost for cruising up hills. Since the new pulley was added to mine it likes to run 2-3 psi up hills where I used to be able to modulate the throttle to stay out of boost.

A delayed closing bypass might do well to keep out of boost when you don't want really want to be there.... like a 36-38% throttle on my truck now. I'd love to be able to drive up to 45-50% throttle without being in boost. The lock up would like it better too I'll bet

BTW... my truck idles between 18 and 16.5 inches of vacuum. Depends on whether AC (and E-Fans) are on or not.

my trans was just rebuilt. From what I've read on here and tech it sounds like the smaller, lighter converter might be causing the surging. Once my HPtuners shows up on Monday I'll start looking around on their forum for solutions.

Not exactly. It was more like cruising along, slowly progressively push the pedal, boost rises with pedal until it gets to 0, keep pushing, stays at 0, then all of a sudden 5psi. Scary!!! Does that make sense or no? I'm trying to figure out the best way to describe it. I called KB and they said it's in the tune. That didn't make any sense to me. Either way, it runs fine. I simply called to ask if they had any other ideas for cooling it down aside from moving the air filter which I already did.

maybe don't waste the $100 on the valve if interested. It's appears to be the exact same valve without a spring in it. I don't completely understand how it works.

Other minor news. I found 4 exhaust leaks. 3 were after the cats, before the muffler where clamps had been used. pipes were black all around the joint. I sealed them up with some exhaust tape stuff i found at the auto parts store. gay? yes but it works.

the 4th is at the header/head on the pass side. again, black around one of the primaries on the head. It was the 2nd one back. Bolt was not tight by any means. it turned probably 1/4 turn without forcing it. Hopefully that fixes it. there was definitely and audible leak coming from that region.

also, the joint between the collector and the exhaust pipes were sorta loose too. no black stuff but i tightened them up too while i was under there.

Ok this part is scary. Ever since getting the truck back from turbozone there has been a very slight oil leak at the back of the engine. I was told maybe it was a rear main seal. I had 2 transmission guys and w2w say it isn't.

I cleaned it all up the other day to try to figure out where it's coming from. I still can't tell. there are droplets of oil on the oil filter and on a few bolts in that same area. I'm not sure what is up in there that i'm looking at so maybe i'll try to snap a pic and post it up.

I have the exact same prob...Don says its rr main seal too, but the only way to tell is drop the tranny. try tightening up ur pan bolts 1st (u never know). Personally, I cant stand any vehicle that leaks anything, but with this **** show I'll drive the wheels off it if thats the only prob!

lmao, i'm with ya man. if it leaks it's broken if you ask me. trans was just out and rebuilt. it wasn't the rear seal.

Did you get the old seal off when you changed filters? Maybe you double sealed it and it's leaking by.
