I also been thinking of adding one, can you post a few pics show how you did the plumbing on the back of your charger

thanks

I think the radix makes it simpler. I routed the pcv hose and the other line that went to the intake tube into this homemade job. I have no oil in air track anymore and everything seems fine 20K miles later.

It's just a vented cap with filter on top of a 2" piece of PVC with a screw in cover on the bottom.

Nothing to it. 3/8 line from the PCV valve on the drivers side to the inlet of the catch. Outlet of the catch can to one of the large ports at the back of the J-tube. I need to pick up some more line and should probably put some clamps on them.

You can see the line from the catch in this picture. The port next to it used to provide the vacuum to the brake booster. Now I'm hydraulic braked.

If it doesnt mess with your charger. You can run a hose from each valve cover into a tee line and then run one hose from the tee to the catch can. Where did you put the hose on the other side on the catch can that will suck air through the catch can? I run a turbo so mine is different. with my last motor from boost and to much crank case pressure the ended up hurting the motor with to much blow by. I ended up have smoke come out of each valve cover vent. I ended up cooking my motor over time cracked pistons.

I have the same unit from jegs and heard the hiss. When I pinch the hose after the catch can going to the manifold no more hissing. I thought the can had a leak also. It might be the design making it whistle.

Guess I could tee into the other valve cover to the can but think I would have to then add a breather to the valve cover.

The vacuum source is at the back of the blower.

IMO if its whistling its leaking.

Why doesn't everyone just vent the crankcase to the atmosphere because of the smell?

Not the smell because I already dont have cats , when you see how much oil that catch can collects. My engine isnt the cleanest but hate to add oil mist.

I dont think you would need a breather. I have a ls1 book that shows how to hook up a catch cans and they dont run breathers on the step up for boost. I think if you added a breather to the valve cover then the catch can would just be pulling air in from the breather causeing it to not suck as much crank case pressure from the valve cover. if anything you would want the valve covers to seal as much as possible to pull more crank case pressure.
