Default My cam okay for boost?

Hey guys, my cam right now is a 218/226 .595 .598 @.050 on a 113 lsa. I was wondering if it would work somewhat well with boost. If not I will just swap it for a triple 12 when I get all m turbo stuff. stock bottom 5.3 stock heads, will put a good intake on when I do turbo.

it will work, but if you have the time and money I would swap.

It is a better supercharger cam then turbo but it will work.

Old school line of thought. If it makes power NA it will make power under boost. You don't have a boost bleed issue if that's your concern. You can expect single digit% efficiency difference between a great boost cam and what you have now.

I know you said you were putting a good intake on, you don't really need to unless youre going for like really high numbers, I think Ive been reading stock48 made 800+ on the stock truck intake?

This is all true. Can big power be made on stock parts? Yes. However, a better flowing intake manifold can make a huge difference on power under boost. Lots of guys have made significantly more power on lower boost switching from a 78mm truck intake to a 90mm TBSS style intake and tb. Again old school logic if it gains more power NA it will gain even more under boost.

Much bigger gains will be found swapping intake manifolds than getting a "better" boost cam.

TBSS intakes are decent but something like a pro flo is not going to help your out of boost power.

so the TBSS intake/throttle body would make more power @ less boost then my stock truck intake/TB combo?

this is some thing to think about? is there any less tq on the bottom end?
