Is there any additional tuning required to run a msd 2 step or is it completely plug and play?

 

Yes this completely plug and play I have one on my truck. The box hooks in line at both coil harnesses. It then has a wire you splice into the brake or the clutch wire. You dial in your launch rpm manually on the 2 step box with 2 small dials. Super easy install maybe 10 mins.

 

Yes really simple 1 wire hookup. There's two wires, it can be either 12 volt or neg activated, which ever one you don't use leave it unplugged. I have mine wired into my trans brake.

very simple install. I use the brake signal to activate w/ toggle switch inline to disable it.

I would definitely want to use a toggle switch. Anyone know where I'd tie into the brake signal at on a 2012 gmc sierra? I have all data just don't know what wire

 

I don't have a toggle but mine is on the clutch wire. The 2 step requires are rpm drop of 2/3 the launch setting to become active. Mine is set at 2400 right now for street tire testing and I have only tripped it accidentally triggered it once. And if you don't have your foot to the floor it just goes away like nothing happened.

Short version toggle is nifty but redundant

 

I have mine exactly like black4.8. Works perfect if you dont have a tbrake

 

No trans brake here. Where are you guys finding the wire for brake signal?
