Question MP112 or MP122 on 2008 5.3 ???

Who has installed the MP112 or MP122 on a new 2008 5.3 Sierra or Chevy with the flex fuel.

I am looking to add one and was wondering if the MP122 would be better
for the new 5.3 with the 243 heads .
I will be adding other mods down the road so I would think the MP122 would be more suited for this.

What do you guys think ?

If you have done this could you post up some pics of the install.

Thanks.

A 122 on your stock motor will be a waste. If you are looking to bolt 120rwhp of DEPENDABLE HP onto your truck and FORGET ABOUT IT. The 112 Radix is your poison.

Don't ..ck around. Get the bigger blower to start with. There's not much the 112 does better than the 122. Can't see any reason other than $ to go with the smaller pump. If $ is a that big of a concern, you shouldn't be messing with your motor (and transmission and reareand and.......) to start with. You mentioned future mods.........they mean quite a bit more with the 122 vs the 112. You can always use a 4" snout pulley if you want to go slow.

My truck, with the mods listed below, made 9psi with the 112 on a 5.3L. Same setup, the 112 made 6.5 to 7psi on a 6.0L LQ4. Adding the 122 yielded 8.5 to 9psi. It's a little under 500 rwhp with a buttload of torque that comes in just after you twitch your right foot. Going with the bigger blower ought to give you mad power now with room to grow.

all you did was switch from the 112 to 122 still using the same pulley and gained 2 psi?

At least 1.5psi and maybe 2. No noticeable loss of low end grunt either. I was hoping for a little more boost and started with a 3.0" pulley, but ended up with the 2.8". When it was all said and done, the 122 on the 6.0L was the same psi or just a dab less than the 112 on a 5.3. 2.8" pulley on each.
