Motor shuts down after about 15 miles
#1
After having motor work done on my 05 supercarged 5.3 silverado and after a day the truck just shut off as I'm running 60mph after 20 mins got it to start back up got it home 15miles let it sit the next day I got out another 15 miles and the motor just turned off again with no waring or anything I still had power of lights radio windows etc. but not the motor I took to auto zone and said my 02 sensor was bad I replaced but now they saying my speed senor needs to be replaced as well will the speed sensor cause the motor to shut off?

Fuel pump? IIRC when the contacts get burnt they can be intermittent. My 97 Suburban did that occasionally, would take 10-15 minutes and I could start it again. I've heard that when it shuts off sometimes you can hit the gas tank with a rubber mallet and get it to start back up. Never had a problem with my 01 though, so I dunno if that's still a common issue.
