You cant see anyting in those pics. I did a turbo from scratch on my last tbss. It is a lot of work. It is NOT worth the effort unless you have a built motor and trans to start out. Trust me, you will just spend TONS of money trying to keep it running or fixing **** that breaks

I don't see how a single would fit anywhere near the front. It would have to be rear-mounted... Twins would be more of a better choice for fitment up front. The only thing is the turbos would not fit in the engine bay. That's why these hang low ( in my opinion.)

My bro would love to have a turbo on his OBS 97 and his really interested. he already has a supercharger and NOS and think thats not enough. he wants more boost. Tunning wouldn't be an issue with the 411 PCM.
Here's a link for more info on tunning OBS:

Ok it appears there is not an TBSS close me YET. I called 3 dealers and all said, nope do not have one. So looks like I will have to make a little drive to a larger dealer area...
Not sure if the TBSS is the next line up, but I need to look at one, up close and personal.

later

if you could make it work for the I5 colorados too i think it would be a hit. not many reg. TB(I6) owners are wanting a power adder, most if they want power will either get the TBSS or a reg TB with the 5.3L. i think a kit for the I5 colorados would be great, they have tuning now and unless something has changed in the last couple of months, the dont have a FI option PERIOD, last i heard over on coloradofans.com, every time someone say they are making a turbo kit, they never hear from them again

Yea, that happens a bunch. People ask but then figure out it is a lot of work to bring a kit to market. I took us months on the truck to get something that not only worked, but looked good and easy to install. I had a pile of beta logs just becuase I did not like the look, or angle of something. Now that kit has good history and results, and its time to add to the family.

Question: Is the 5.3 TB the same as TBSS as far as layout? I know the SS is the larger engine and possible all wheel drive.

This is one of the hardest parts of picking a new kit to look at, which one to do. We would like to add a new kit to our line up ever 4-6months. as long as the budget allows. LOL
