Default 98' 5.7L Vortech Needs Tune!

I'm Building a 98' GMC Seirra, wanting to put a small cam and upgraded heads on, but need to know who can program around them for me; how much, and does it need to be a certain cam for the program... Please Help, this Is my First Automotive Project and no one in my home Town of Lubbock Texas knows what I can do!

Try this post http://www.pacificp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3240
There has been a ton of 96-99 vortec engines changed over to the 12200411 PCM. Easier to tune.
I'm doing a 41 pickup with L31 Ramjet/4l60e and I have used harness from vortec truck and the 0411 pcm.
There are several posts on the site you might want to look at.

ya the 411 pcm swap is not really that hard and it does not cost much. It should make it easier to get tuned since more companies could tune it then.

Yeah...do the 0411. It's pretty easy.

Try the junkyards...get the red and blue connectors whilst you're there.
Should get the whole lot for less than $100

They're commonly found in the 00-02 express vans iirc. Definitely check out www.pacificp.com, guys certainly know these L31's.

Are you going to rewire your engine harness for that 411?
We can tune it as it is here in San Antonio or mail order

'98 Vortecs can be tuned by HP Tuners as well. I'm guessing the reason for the swap is to allow more tuning flexibility?
