Which method of FI would be best for MY application?
#31
I just went through the same questions in my Head OP.
I have a 2006 GMc sierra 1500 2wd cc. I wanted to add F/I to help with towing, and help make the truck more enjoyable to drive. I looked at both options, and the biggest reason I went with a TVS 1900 is the same reason you should consider.
WE both live in Canada, the lack of Performance and Tuning facilities is cities is a complete joke. There are far more Pieces in the puzzle with a turbo, BOV, Waste gate, intercooler piping, etc. Lots of items to fail or slip off under boost. Last thing you need is to be stuck in the mountains with a dicked components and NO performance shops to speak of. Setting and maintaining a turbo setup when you don't have any reputable shops around to help is a nightmare...I own 2 turbo vehicles
The TVS kit is so basic, minimal components, and for towing....WOW, works great. I could not endorse it enough.

whoever said 2500 bucks for an nnbs 4x4 swap is probably right because everything i have read people go through hell and back and spend a crapload of money switching over with a gmt900. its not a gmt800 where people slip the junkyard find in and go.
towing sure the tvs1900 gets you low end torque but talking yesterday to mike he basically stated you probably wont feel any difference between the magnacharger and the whipple. tuning wise towing the whipple would be key because the IAT's go down 20-30 degrees which IMO is a no brainer.
