For those of you guys who have a TVS and Meth could you post some pictures of your setup? I have a Alky control kit coming, I figure the nozzle should mount up just fine in my 4" intake I made. Have any of you guys messed with Straight Alky? I have access to pure Denatured Alcohol (200 Proof)which is Ethanol, I see allot of guys running VP M1 meth but haven't found a local place to get it yet.

i run 100% VP M1. Washer reservoir conversion and mounted the pump to the driver frame rail.

 

How long has 5 gal lasted you?

 

I use meth from a local shop that runs dirt track cars, they have it by the drum and only charge me $15 for a 5 gal can full.

 

I run a local Race Gas shop's 100% Meth for the last 4 years without a problem. Runs about $3 a gallon. VP M1 is 100% Methanol. VP M3 is Methanol with a top end oil additive.

I talked to Julio a while back about running Ethanol with his pump. IIRC, 100% is fine but you can't use any pump ethanol (ie: E85, etc). Any amount of gasoline in teh ethanol will ruin the pump and seals in no time. Give him a call to confirm. He is a great guy to deal with and will answer all of your questions on the spot.

Checked the MSDS on the stuff i was refering too and its 96% ethanol , 4% methanol.

 

Local place just quoted me $39 for 5 gal. Seems high. I have a call into julio.

 

I would run the meth the dirt track guys run, think about it, people run washer fluid along with a bunch of other cocktails...you think that stuff is any better than what race cars use? Like I said, $15 for a 5 gallon can, can't go wrong IMO.

 

Now i just have to find some for that price.
