Default meth injection tuning

I'm running Dominator EFI with the Holley meth injection solenoid that basically acts as an injector. It can flow up to 1,000 CC. I can tune my injection system to run as a percentage of total fuel flow. I'm finding all kinds of conflicting info on the internet about how much meth to run. Some say 5% of total fuel flow, and others say 15-20%. How would the tuners of pt.net set up the meth injection tables? I plan to run a 50/50 mix for cooling purposes. My Kenne Bell IAT can go from 100* to 170+ in about 4 seconds! I'm pushing around 12 lbs boost on this setup and typically shift between 7,000 and 7,200. Here is the H2O/M tables that Holley software offers. I can also scale the x and y axis any way I need.

the internets suggest that too much will kill power. Some suggest as low as 5% total fuel flow, some 10-15, some 15-20...all of them have arguments in favor of their method. Some start spraying at 1lb boost, others won't start spraying until 15# and both claim that the opposite method kills power. I know there will be some trial and error to figure out what my combo needs, but a solid starting point would be nice. octane isn't as big of a concern as cooling this furnace down.

also on drowning it, i've heard mixed results on running meth through the intercooler of a blower. it seems like drowning it might cause cylinder to cylinder distribution issues.

You won’t loose power if running 100% meth, ramp it in with boost and rpm. Personally based on your setup I would start it at like 5psi.

if running 50/50 then too much will loose power.

I'm new to this, so bear with me. this is a quote from Rodney at ProMeth.

methanol works well on the intake side reducing air charge temps on forced induction applications. Water does its job in the combustion chamber and will reduce EGT's

this is why i decided on the 50/50 mix. my ring gap is only .019 so if i can cool the intake charge and combustion chamber it seems like a win/win. I think the quote is also 5 years old so maybe more has been learned since then.

I agree with that, but water doesn’t burn so there is a point where it becomes to much. FYI, with my blower I tested all different mixes. 66/33 Meth/water worked the best for me. On the turbo I run 100% as IATS aren’t a issue.

that's the kind of info i'm looking for! What happens if i run 65/35 meth/water? LOL. Do you happen to have the data of % of fuel flow you were injecting with your blower?

don’t over complicate it. I mixed two gallons of meth with one gallon of water. Thus the 66/33

simple answer- no

i was running 1x10gph nozzle and 1x5gph at like 75% on a Alky kit.

Be careful,

Too much and you’ll hydrolock the engine and when that happens, you're pulling it.
