I would run as little water as possible...none if it were me. That quote is right, water and meth both have their places...but there is overlap. And EGT isn't so much a concern unless you run long durations under boost with a turbo. Your problem is extracting enough heat fast enough in the small volume you have between the heat source and the cylinders. If you dump a ton of meth to it without time or space to vaporize, you just end up running meth as fuel still with hot IATs.

Technically, since the compression in a twin screw begins in the blower you could stand to benefit from a very small nozzle in front of the throttle, ideally small enough that the meth is totally vaporized in the blower. And if there is enough area still in between the intercooler outlet and the intake valves, another small nozzle unless it's going to cause distribution problems.

I ran water/methanol injection on my Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. it was just a 3800 V6 but it was supercharged. I used the AEM progressive kit and the 1000 cc nozzle. I was making about 350 hp. I went with a 50/50 mixture and injected it pre blower. It lowered the post blower air temps about 50 degrees. I used a wideband to dial in my fuel targeting 11.5. I assume you are making way more power than I, so based on that assumption, I would say that you could do a dual nozzle setup and spray a lot more water/methanol. I've seen a lot of people say to spray pure methanol, I've seen people say to squirt pure water, and I've seen people say to spray various blends inbetween the two the two extremes. AEM said to spray 50/50, so that's what I did. I don't know exactly how much fuel I subtracted from my system, but it was probably about 5%, and I used the wideband to lean out the mixture.

for those saying to run 100% meth, would you still do that knowing my motor is 10.4 compression at 12lbs boost with only .019 ring gap? part of wanting water to cool the combustion chamber is added insurance to my high compression with tight ring gap. boost was an after thought to this motor. and this blower runs HOT! I'll post a screen shot of a quick blast and how quick the temps shot up.

Running the coldest thermostat possible I assume? Water in the chamber isn't as great at managing piston/ring temperature as it is at managing the average combustion temp and the variance of temperature in hot spots within the cylinder. Not much you can do with tight ring gaps...it's a mechanical issue. Just have to keep the coolant temp as low as possible, really.

I'm running a 160* thermostat. the motor typically runs 180-190.

here is a 3.042 WOT blast without meth. Notice my MAT temps jump 42* in only 3 seconds. it continued to climb to 163 before recovering.

How much cooling capacity do you have. When I had the Whipple it climbed fast.

I added a 2.5 gallon coolant tank for it and it climbed but a lot slower.

I can run up to 8 gallons, but typically keep around 4 gallons in the system. -12 AN lines feed and return with a frozen boost type 101 exchanger.

I'm not as concerned about the rise in temp during normal driving, just under WOT.
