Default Meth Guys.. ?

I'm looking at getting an alky control meth kit for my truck and I'm not sure how much boost or what kind of meth mixture I should run. I have a LQ4 6.0 liter with a turbonetics t62 and I'm only running 6lbs of boost. I know the turbo is probably a little undersized but it's what came with the kit. I have 42lb marine injectors; according to their duty cylce they should handle about 8lbs of boost and I'm hoping with the meth kit I can run about 10-11 lbs. Does this sound about right? How many lbs would be safe for the stock block as long as I have meth?

Also, what mixture of meth should I run? The guy at alky control said that he would run straight meth because at lower boost levels its better with atomization especially in winter time. However, I know a lot of people run a 50/50 mix. He also said with straight meth you don't have to "play chemist" when mixing the meth which would cause the tune to be off if the meth mixture is off (although I'm pretty sure I can measure to be pretty exact). However it seems like I could run more timing if I had 100% meth which would result in more power.

This is my daily driven truck and I want to keep it safe, but equally important I want to add more POWER. Any feedback/suggestions/comments are appreciated.

i wouldn't rely on meth to run more boost. It only takes once to run low on meth and pop the motor. I would use it as a cooling agent, as well as octane booster. You only want to run enough meth to cool the charge and allow the timming to be bumped.

Others might have a different opinion about this but if it were me, I would look into bigger injectors and just run straight meth and bump the timming. IAT's will drop and still make the same power year round!

You need bigger injectors. Power is directly related to how much fuel you get in there, and if you are about to up the boost you need more fuel.

Go E85! Runs cooler, higher octane, much cheaper than 93 and very knock resistant!

Listen to Julio, he knows what he says. Straight meth. Get the bigger injectors, use the meth as an octane boost

Ditto x 2.

42's are too small for 10lbs on a 6.0l. I was at about 105% when I ran 42's at 10lbs on a P-1SC. Bumped to 60's when I added the turbo's and used 100% Meth for octane. Over 2 years now and never a problem. With 60's, your tuner can supply enough fuel to run the engine (with some KR) if the Meth runs dry so you won't smoke the motor.

Thanks guys for the help. I'll probably be going with 8lbs (as long as my injectors can handle it) and 100% meth.
