Default Max boost on P1SC on stock 6.0 with meth

So nobody wants to buy my Escalade (at least not at the price I want to sell it ), so I am thinking about keeping it and pulleying down, and cranking up the boost.

I have the snow meth kit that Allen at Nelson motorsports put on it when he helped me check the vehicle out when I purchased it from a dealer in San Antonio (still much appreciated by the way Allen!). I also have the Yank 3000 stall that I put on it to counteract the procharger lag.

I have never been able to achieve more than 5lbs of boost. Wondering how high of boost I may be able to go before having to worry about engine internals, tranny, etc. Seems like others on this forum safely run from 8-10 lbs or so.

I would like to try and make the Escalade into a mid 4 second 0-60 vehicle, but just not sure I can do it with the P1SC. Turbo for the win???

Thanks in advance for any and all tips - they are always a great help.

Send the P1 back to ProCharger for a D1, or go turbo.

A definite option, but want to explore if a less invasive (and cheaper) approach can be followed.....with success.

For example, is there anyone out there running the P1SC with 10lbs boost and breaking 13 seconds 1/4 mile in a 6000 lb vehicle? I think that usually equates to mid to high 4's 0-60.

I'll bet that P1 chokes out before you have to worry about anything in the engine.

I'm running the 1/4 in 13.2 and a 0-60 in about 4.8 sec and weigh about 5300#. And I'm all motor. Lol. Shouldn't be an issue with boost.

If you wanna take that escy to the next level I would think about mods like headers and a small cam to compliment the boost and 3000 stall with a smaller pulley to bring you to around 8 lbs or so all said and done. There will be so much more power it will feel like a new truck.

if 5 lbs and tuning is all you have now with that stall I honestly can't imagine its all that fast. I'm sure its no slouch... but nothing to write home about. Have you ever had it at the track?

This would be my thought. I have heard of a few 6.0's that are maxing out if not close to maxing out the potential of the P1. This is one of the main reasons I went with the D1 with my 6.2

I would try and sell the P1 and get a D1. You would never max out the D1 with the 6.0 I would think. Plus make a lot more boost with out having to work the PC as hard

You need to be looking for belt slip. You should be able to get that out of that P1 on a 6.0

This is Hunter's truck, a 2001 C3, P1SC at 10 psi on an otherwise stock 6.0. Also has a Yank PT3200. He runs mid 12's at 5400 pounds, with Edelbrock shorty headers and a crappy kink-bent 2.25" exhaust.

You should definately put that converter in, and I think you'll start liking that P1.
