Default Max boost

What do you guys think is a (reasonably) safe level of boost to run on stock internals, with the setup I am about to install. It’s the Escalade 6.2, 850cc injectors, LSA fuel rail, LSA conversion with the ZL1 lid and larger intercooler, and 525 hellcat pump. I initially was thinking around 8lbs, but after reading some of the things on this site I am wondering if I can get away with a little more?!
haven’t even got it installed and already wanting to give it more 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Its more about torque than max boost. With gen4 rods you can get away with a lot. Most folklore seems to think 12psi is the limit for pump gas, but with a good tune, fuel and timing control you can push that as high as the pistons will let you. Meth injection will help too, but its something else to buy and rely on

I like to stay ~12psi, but I have a gen3 and I dont like breaking ****.

I forgot to include that I will be running E85 as well. I do have the crank pin kit also. I guess my curiosity lies in the fact that I’m just wanting as much power as I can put down while staying reliable.

12psi on a screw blower will be more than you can handle on the street.

As much as that blower will make. That said, I can blow that engine up with 0psi. Depends on the quality of the fuel, your cooling system both engine and blower, spark plugs, health of the engine... list goes on.

I’m clear that there are numerous contributing factors. I was more trying to gauge a baseline that others are running, and for the point of this topic I was leaving the other variables out. Was just trying to see what’s feasible.

that’s really subjective. 12 wouldn’t be enough for me.

I'm running 14#'s on 93 but you have to have use some intelligence with that much boost. If you hear any pinging or knocking you have to get out of it quick, dosent hardly ever happen but if I wasn't paying close attention when it did my motor would be in pieces. If you want safe stay under 10 psi, and there are still zero garuntees that it will hold. If you can drive around the tuning issuse that present themselves with a lot of boost on pump gass you can have some serious fun!

I have to agree, my PC Z06 is not too much to handle. Nor is my Whipple’d 502 Boat.. I have no concerns with being able to handle the vehicle. In had a grand national powered turbo trans am running 24lbs, I’m just trying to gauge the vehicles potential to maintain daily driver abilities and such while being boosted. Thank you guys for your input!
