manifold swap around(not flip)
#1
What do you guys think about swapping the manifolds around,(passenger to driver side etc)
And run a u bend to the turbo up from the passenger side Mani
BTW its a 95 rcsb 4.8 4l80.
This is just something I'm "building" in my head. Haven't look to even see if there would be enuff room but if memory serves me correct, I believe it would work.
I guess my main question is, how would the 180° bend affect the flow? There may even be enuff room to make a longer sweeping bend

If you have a welder, anything is possible with a set of truck manifolds. On my next build I wont even try to build a log , I will cut the manifolds and add heavy wall pipe/v-bands. Flipping the manifolds and relocating the coils works pretty good also. Good luck with the build and post pics.

How do you plan on welding to the cast manifolds1969x11?
The reason I don't want to flip is cause its a shorter run for the driver side to go in front instead down under and arond the oil pan and over the upper a arm and no custom plug wires or coil relocate/flip. So the way I have it pictured in my head, there should be less bends= less welds= less headache.
So 45° to get vertical then 90° to run horizontal to the passenger side, 90° back up, merge with my u bend off the pass Mani in to a t4 flang. Then make a down pipe. I know it won't be that simple, but it sou D's good haha
So all in All should be a $200 or less hot side if I shop around

i used stock manifolds on my 90' truck with ls swap aswell. i run the passenger side stock and ran a passenger side on driver side with a vband on front and cut the rear out and welded a vband on and built a crossover and hooked it up. its basicaly the look of a trick or kb kit but swapped sides.
