Default Magnavolt questions

What size of wire does the wiring harness on a magnavolt have for the actual fuel pump wires? I wired in 10ga wire for the fuel pump, and don't want to wire it into 16ga and melt the insulation off. Does it have an actual wiring harness with a pigtail, or a terminal strip to wire it into the fuel system.

It has a wiring harness that plugs into the magnavolt and it also has a inline fuse but not sure of the wire size....It is pretty thick though.

I can't tell from the pics, maybe a 12 wire (the grey wire). 12 would be fine.

Don't forget the Magnavolt doesn't run constantly, so it will only be on for a few seconds at a time.

The power wire goes in line of the existing wire though, right?
It will be battery-magnavolt-10ga power wire, or am I wrong?

The magnavolt harness ties into the underhood fuse box

Even at WOT, it doesnt run constantly? So the voltage isnt boosted all teh time?

Interesting.

It is activated by boost. If you are into boost then the magnavolt is working. When you are cruising your fuel pump runs at the normal battery voltage.

The only one that works like that is the msd one, but you can program it to do anything you want with a usb cord, and laptop.

OK thanks, I would think that you would want the pump voltage increased while in boost.
