Default Maggie pinned crank cam swap?

On my last cam swap I pinned my crank using the magnacharger crank pin kit. I'm planning on another fi cam swap and was wondering how to reinstall the crank pulley. Do I line up the previously drilled holes or redrill new holes?

Try to line them up, if you can't then just make new ones

I usually spend the extra time to line the old ones back up. But if you are unsuccessful, you can re-drill.

How about if you have a pinned crank pulley and swap to a different pulley? Everyone just redrill at that point?

I haven't had the pleasure of installing a pulley after a pin, but i wonder if you could use a drill bit to keep it lined up while you're pressing it on? I think you'd have to press on with the drill guide that came with the kit to keep the drill bit true. A socket might get in the way now that i think of it.

Any pics of DIY 2-piece timing covers? - LS1TECH

Here's what I'm gonna do so I don't need to remove crank pulley any more, DIY 2 piece timing cover. Also it will be quicker to do cam swaps. Link to pictures are on post #6
