ok whats the difference with 5 disk and 3 disk set up?? 5 disk needed and also they have from 2400-2600 stall and 2600 to 2800. Dont know if i should do 2400 to 2600 to play it safe or the 2600 to 2800 should be ok. I think stock is like 2000-2200?

I don't know about the 5 disk. Maybe more towing capacity.

I got the 26-2800 Vig. It locks up real nice. My Tahoe actually lunges forward a little on lock up. I love it.

i think ill get the 2600-2800 and see what happens. i think 2400-2600 might be to low and 2800-3000 to high.

now for the track i have 275 40 17 drag radials. I know its like 5 inches shorter than stock but i wanted to get out the hole harder and also with 30.5 inch tall tires top speed of 3rd is like 140 which is not good for the 1/4 i wanted to be close to redline in 3rd. So with 275 40 17 top speed of 3rd is 123 mph and if i trap 110 ill be in the sweet spot.

but yah im wondering about the 5 disk vs 3 disk. slohoe you have 4.10s also?

Yep. 4.10 and Eaton. I have 32" tall tires though. And I have never been to a 1/4 track so I don't know where I would trap etc....

i think the 2600-2800 would be good for me, with teh 275 40 17 will be interesting how it all hooks up.

I see about 6 people in this thread that use a 26-2800. Tell Yank to re-check their "Everyone" number again.

Talk to Mike at Yank and tell him you want the Magna Charger 2600 with the mechanical lock up. The mechanical lock up is not the normal lock up it uses some type of worm gear that locks up at 400 lbs of torque and you don't even feel it engage. Why throw away so much of your torque on a 3000 , they are for Head / cam vehicles, 2600 is perfect

Late in the game. PI 2600 that now brake stalls to about 2800 after a few more mods. Perfect IMO. Just changed gears to 4.10's. Pulled consistant 1.8 60's with the 3.73's.

PI 2800 triple disc. Perfect stall for me, keeps it right in the power band.
