Default MAF Help

I just had an experience that goes down im my record book for most redneck fix of the year. While preparing to run a ricer I boosted and had to back out of it to keep from hitting him. As soon as I backed out I heard a pop I got back in it and AFR went straight to 10.0 and truck tried to die. After checking all connections and found nothing wrong. I checked the impellar in the turbo and it still turns good. Boosted again truck quit running. Popped the hood and this time it was obvious.

The MAF was in two pieces and atleast an inch apart. Has anyone ever blown the maf in two and can it be fixed or is it totally lost.

Ok I orderd the part from A & A corvette. I didn't have the money to get the LPE. I really want it but I just ordered a tranny, converter, different gauge set up, new oil pump, and a couple other things. The people at A & A gave me an explanation of why it happens. The cause is a fast acceleration with a faster decelleration. in other words get on the gas hard and suddenly let out and get on the breaks. it causes sudden massive increase in pressure and the MAF is the weakest link being a 2 piece set up. So for anyone interested, take this to heart and your MAF may last.

do you have a BOV? if not it would seem this would fix the problem. i have one and with 10psi i haven't had a problem with the maf. although i am about to ditch it.

I do have a BOV but for some reason I don't think it opened b/c when it happened I didn't hear it open and I was also running 11lbs when It happened and I noticed the boost shot way up when I backed out. I have checked it and it seems to be working. I don't know if this was a freak accident or what but oh well It happened just like the sticker says.
