Default Made the swap from rear to front

Wanted to get the truck into 10s with the rear mount, but never got around to it. I've been considering swapping to a front mount setup for months. The t76 made almost as much power at 7.5 psi as the t67 did at 12 psi (I'm guessing about 50 rwhp less). This was because of 3 things. Ball bearing vs journal bearing, moving the turbo about 16 inches closer to the front, and ceramic coating the factory manifolds and y-pipe. One of my concerns was even though the 76 spooled up just as quick it did not hit as hard. After thinking long and hard I finally bit the bullet and did it. Here is a link to the new setup. The t76 spools up about 800 rpm faster than before. This was before the ceramic coating and turbo blanket. I'm anxious to see if it spools any quicker, but the roads are wet. Photos begin on page 3 of this link. Disregard the brake pics in the middle of the turbo setup.

When switching from the T66 to the T76 I noticed a huge gain in power with the T76. Both running the same 12psi, with the T76 AFR leaned out one full point over the 66. The T66 spool up was alot faster though.

Nice setup man. Ya I switched from the rear to the front last year. I like the rear mount because it was different and worked, but you cant beat a front mount with a big *** turbo.

I though it was just a CAT shield welded to the pipe for looks.

That looks like a very nice job. A lot of work there. Looking forward to your results and comments. Hope it works well for you. Don't rub that down pipe flat on the ground.
Best of luck.

It is a cat sheild. If they ever start a visual check here I should be OK. The down pipe is about 10 inches off the ground so I should be good. Hopefully I will have some results in the near future.
