I talked to Rick this am. Had to make it brief so I didn't get to ask him about the 2002+ LS6 cam. Just told him the specs on my XR265. He said just install it straight up. No benefit to advancing it.

When I ran the 7.64 1/8 mi. with a sts gt67 on 20's with the 5.3 and 02 Z06 cam It was shifting at 6400. My Z06 is 6500 stock.

But the truck intake doesnt make any power after about 6100 or so! you can keep spinning it but you would be better off to shift and start back pulling rather than let it plane off and die before you shift!

That might be true with a NA engine, but when you're forcing air into the manifold, and pressurising the plenum/runners, it'll contiue to make power. Lets not forget that we're talking different displacements with the same manifold. My 4.8 would pull past 6400rpm, but a bigger 5.3/6.0 would probably not.

i agree. my wife even noticed tonight that it was a bit peppier off the line at part throttle. it kinda snaps off the line. it pulls clean to 5900 then when it shifts it starts pulling even harder. my torque converter on goes to about 1800 at light throttle so its not that. and the turbo seems to spool faster than before too.
