A increase in boost may not happen on a smaller blower (i.e. mp 112), but it might help on your 122 if it flows all its said to flow.

All in all, I'm still very happy with the Dr. X mod!

we saw an increase in boost when we did this mod a few years back on the 112. I was curious about IAT's, you didn't see a change?

Just a point of interest for anyone concerned with flow dynamics...... Aside from the larger opening, I have read that the flow over the blade does not begin to smooth out(laminar flow) until you get past 85% TP. Not sure if this is also a factor in any performance increases being seen/felt with this mod.

I got mine on this weekend...and it worked great...easy install, I wish this thing was around when i got my 90mm TB.
I was very impressed in how much more it opened...i forgot my digital camera at work but I used a disposable .... i'll go to walgreens and get it developed in digital and get some pics up as soon as i can.
Nice work DrX, I love it!

Throttle response also appears to be smoother and with less lag in these comaparison vids. I don't miss the high pitched whine either.

Do you think there is a need or benefit to retune your truck after the install of this harness?

I would bet that it won't, but you can give it a try.

It's not necessary but if you were going to be tuning anyway, I would do it after the install as you will have more airflow potential. Wouldn't hurt to reset the throttle area conversion factor to something more appropriate for the 90mm too. Then there won't be as much initial idle learning required.
