Default LS2 90mm/04 TAC Module Teaser

I have been playing with this combo and it looks like it may be possible to make this work without any mods to the TB itself and without having to swap out the TAC module. It was so nice not to hear those 4 extra chimes at key-on today(REP mode). Still have some tweaking to do but I think I have solved the major issues. More complicated than I had initially anticipated.

Here's a teaser video. http://media.putfile.com/LS2-90mm-TB-with-04-TAC-Module

Yes. With some electronics between the TB and TAC module. The circuitry is not finalized yet. Still have a little more work to do on it when I get a chance.

Making progress. Had to eliminate an oscillation of the blade. Looks pretty good now and I think I will be able to simplify it as well. Might need an extra +5V ref input(e.g. off the AC, MAP,....).

Looks great. Way back when I figured this could be done with some electronics between the TAC and TB. Not that I could have done it but I do have a couple buddies that are strong in electronics. Just never approached them to give it a try. Get something packaged up and you could sell a few of them.

I liked the end of the vid.. I was like WTF. Funny.

You can probably do just about anything with electronics. Just have to know what you are doing and have an understanding of the operation of the system. I started out with very basic electronics knowledge, a mysterious black box(TAC module), and rudimentary tools(DMM, Flashscan AUX inputs), so it took a while. At least I learned a few things. Wish I had known someone with an electronics background.

Will probably do a TB swap/test drive on Friday.

Lemon thing is from a drink Ad that is circulating on the net.

are there any updates on this? i'm a little confused,.....the TB can now open 100% by just using a 2004 TAC module on my 2003 truck without taking apart the TB?
