Default LQ9 and boost questions

I just recently purchased an lq9 and was wondering what i would be up against upgrading from my little 5.3 i have in there now.

I have 2 60-1 garret turbos with .81 exhaust housings
a medium sized front mount 2 into 1 with a 25x3.5x7 core
60 lb motrons
was thinking of running a victor jr with a 90mm (i already have the 90mm tb)
tial 44mm wastegates
and a 50mm bov

am i on the right track or should i budget for some other things while im at it?

looking for 550+ on pump will it be cabable?

550 will be very easy, thou i think those exhaust housings are a bit on the big side.
What about the trans?

What wilde said.

Don't push it paste 10-12psi and you're fine (good tune caveat here -- no mail order!)

All the .81's will do for you is mush the spool.

I'd go to .48s

i have a 3600 stall anti ballon plated tci converter. i was thinking of running a 400 turbo instead of my th350. im also sold on putting smaller gear ratio. i have a 4.56 now might jump down to a 3.73 maybe even a 3.42. not sure yet.

Are you hrydoboost or vacuum boost on your brakes? This will also help with trying to brake boost. Downfall to vacuum boost is that it will override your brakes. Might also have to look into doin dual intank fuel pumps if your wanting 550+hp. Correct me if I am wrong but a single walbro 255 is only rated to 500hp....

I run a single in-tank 255lph pump with the Magnavolt and a bit of meth.

Your list looks good so far....housings are kinda big but it will do work. I have run 11# daily for over a year and not blown anything up so you should be fine. Seems like 12 is the tops for boost on the stock long block, so I wouldnt go over that.

Housing in the .6ish range would work a little better for power output under 800fwhp or so. With good fuel I have turned a lq9 up to 825whp. On pump keep it at or below 500-550whp though.
