More like AWD with slicks on all 4 corners. 427 with 20 PSI of boost

You still going to Synergy Saturday?
If so I'll see you there.

Lol, I doubt you'll be losing to anyone even at low boost but in case you are you can just flip the switch while your at WOT but warning...It's a VIOLENT JERK and would not recommend doing it often.
If your racing on low boost and losing I would suggest lose the race, get off the throttle flip to high boost and ask for another race.
I went from Low to High once when racing but this was at much lower boost levels compared to what your thinking about doing so just amplify what it would do with your set up as compared to mine.
I was on the freeway doing about 70 when a Camaro SS flies by me doing maybe 100. I stomp on it and catch up to him. At the time I'm on low boost which is 3psi for me and with my stock 5.3L. He see's me pass him and he get's on it and slowly starts walking me at which point I realize I'm still on low boost . So I reach up and put it into High boost while I'm at WOT going about 105mph at like 4500 rpm.
I heard my waste gate SLAM shut, my boost spikes to about 11-12psi before the wastegate can settle it back down to 8psi, which is where I had it set at in High. My truck KICKS forward pretty hard and the back end squats down for a hard second before leveling out again and the next time I look down I'm doing 144mph.
I don't know if it's bad for the engine but I didn't do it again after that. Something about making a truck squat while already under load doing 105mph makes me think it's not good on the rear end gears or the tranny. Felt like a shot of Torque running down through a drivetrain that's already under load, which isn't the best for it IMO.
You gotta realize the time it takes for the turbo to hit full boost is instantaneous because the exhaust flow is there already for the turbine, it's just being re-routed to bypass the turbo. There's no build up of exhaust flow and boost to be had as you woud would typically see when running up through the RPM's so the power is not gonna come on gradual as you might think. The time it takes for a turbo to get from 90K rpm's to 120K given full exhaust flow is timed in the milliseconds.
So it's kinda up to you, I'm sure someone who knows more could probably give you a better idea about wether it's bad or not but with the power levels you'll be seing I'd be wary about doing it. That's the equivalent of a 400 HP shot of Nitrous being handled by your drivetrain.

After thinking about it...If someone could remind me next time I get on a dyno I'd like to try it out on a dyno to see what the power curve would look like.

Really we have no idea what boost levels we are going to be at. We will go as high as we can on race fuel and a **** load of meth for the Dyno pulls and than back it down to a nice strong SAFE street tune. We will find out real soon.

Everyone who starts with 20psi in their mind, ends up with about 14psi. Its common practice, once the realization of how fast that **** is, you will tone it back.
