You're ahead of me. My truck runs 12.57's too....but it weighs quite a bit less than your Tahoe. I'm thinking TVS2300, but haven't seen one cheap enough to get my attention. Maybe a two man group buy? My vette does 670+ at the wheels. I'm guessing a 2300 on a 6.0L Lq4 would be pretty stout.

My truck runs low 12's with a 75 shot. I wonder if anyone has added a bigger shot to a maggie blown truck. That might be interesting.

670 is monsterous in a vette! I've thought about the 2300 off and on but still kind of bent about being "sold" on the 122hh when they knew the 2300 was on the way (and I didn't). Also, I bought a HSW 90mm plate kit for my GTO that I decided not to use on it...that will be the step after the 4.11 gears, rather than milling the AFR 72cc heads down. I will definitely go 100-125 shot if Rick thinks we can get away with it.

And lastly, been shopping for a RCSB (4WD preferred) to put my powertrain into once I've gone as far as I can with it in the Yukon.

Goat when you headed to the track again?? i ran a 11.9@112 on a 50 shot on my wifes basic *** mods tbss and now doin a 100 shot and weight reduction. Hopeing for 11.50s seeing when your going to the track again so we could hook up.

if you get that 60 foot time down you would be in the 11s easy.

True...all I'd need is a 1.35 60' to get into the 11s. That's doable...

Not sure when I'm heading back out...want to get the 4.11 gears in there and see what improvement comes from that.

Two questions:

1) What is everyone's thoughts on the G80 in the 9.5" 14-bolt...is it sturdy enough to just swap in the gears, or will I end up going back in and installing the Truetrac in a short time?

2) I had the previous 10-bolt Auburn Pro/3.90 gears done in Rancho Cordova (East Sacto), and they did a fine install for a reasonable price. But anyone have a recommendation for someone closer to Vacaville-Stockton-Tracy-Concord-Livermore?

I was scared of breaking the G80, so I swapped in a TrueTrac. I heard the G86 in the TBSS is much stronger. I too am debating 4.10's in my 14 bolt, the 80E is really slow out the hole. I am going to try restalling the converter first.
