Wonder how much of the phenolic spacer benefit is from plenum volume and how much is from heat isolation?
Wonder what a 1/4" spacer (just for heat isolation) would do?
Great ideas and results so far.

Going up 1" with that set up is doable but the cowl might need some live. Any thermal barrier will help. A simple fiber gasket will stop some transfer. Through the intake to blower seem. Not sure what it does with the hood closed and driving for awhile.

I just had my 02 running with hood up. You could not touch the fender supports with burning your hand.

Naw, our house is on 5 acres at the end of a gravel road. It's about a mile to the house from the pavement. I'll clean it off before I go the the track, but it's dirty again as soon as I get home.

I know what its like, used to have a 1/2 mile gravel driveway and it was impossible. Now its asphalt and much better...

NON at this time. Working on trying to get a blower unit set up in here so we can take a look. But time lines are long with designing stuff. We use to have a 122 but sent it down the road. If your having heat issues and maybe your truck is down right now this would be a good time to do some R&D. Or if your a shop and want your own product to sale, We are an all around FAB shop and built lots of parts for other companies.
