Default Large RACE intercooler for Maggie's. Lots of pics.

How much room can you raise a blower up and still stay out of the hood/cowl area?.

We are trying to see if there is any interest in having a new intercooler build for your set ups. The Lightning stuff we have done has show some real good results. More boost and lower temps then any GM guys are running that I know of.
I think we can build a large IC for the Maggie, IF

There is enough room.
A customer can do with out the set up for a short period of time.
A customer is willing to pay for the final part. (at a discounted price of corse.)

We would cover the frieght from us back to you and there is chance whatcha have is all you get in there.

Pm me if your interested.

Rick

when i measured i would say there is only 3/4" of safe room. got to take into consideration the motor moving under load.

What does that mean? I interpret that to mean, it's possible nothin can be improved on due to (possible) space constraints. Sound bout right?

Yes. If therE is no room then the ic is as large as it's going to get.

I know people have been messin with spacers between the blower and the intercooler but i think they have all had cowl hoods of some form.

Got any pics of what u said black00?

black00, that's the 1 thing that I don't like bout Vettes (not that I'm buyin a Vette). Unlike a truck, when running a Radix/TVS, u gotta have a cowl hood for clearance.

I prefer the option of adding a cowl hood, not forced into it.

I would think theres more then 3/4 of an inch with the Tvs but probably not much more, they seem to sit a lil lower then the Radix did.

This right here says there is litte to no room.. But I think this is after the spacer.

That spacer looks to be 5/8 or 3/4 thick.
So we could go thicker on the IC. Get more cooling in there.
Anyone interested?

ya thats with the spacer if i read correctly. but according to the testing, its the intercooler being to close to the heads that is causing the major heatsoak. so i suppose if you add thickness on the topside it might be worth it.

just for ***** and giggles while your here, would u be able to reccomend a cam say for a 5.3 and the stage 3 kit?
