Default L86 Whipple Cam UpGrade

I have a 2017 Silverado with the 6.2 engine and 8 speed transmission. I already installed a Whipple supercharger, headers, cat delete and custom tune. I am going to upgrade the cam, valve springs, lifters and fuel system.
I want to keep the lower end of the motor stock.
I am considering Brian Tooley’s truck supercharged stage 2 cam.
I would like to hear from the guys that have already done this type of upgrade on their own trucks. I am open to other cam suggestions.
I currently have 541 RWHP. What horsepower numbers should I expect
Thank You in advance for any and all information.

Only comment I can really make is hp will be dependent on boost so you'll need a pulley change. How much boost are you wanting to run? How much boost is she making now. I see a 6.2 in my future is why.

I am running 8 pounds of boost now. I am looking to run about 12 pounds with the next upgrade. If the bottom end will handle it.
1st round of upgrades was the supercharger, header and tune. (Done)
2nd round of upgrades will be the cam, fuel, 3.00 or 3.50 pulley and retune.
3rd round will be torque converter, driveshaft and truetrac.
4th and final upgrades will be the bottom end. The crank, pistons, 3.00 or smaller pulley.
I am hoping to be around 800 hp When I am finished.
I am open to suggestions on the order of the upgrades. I can not afford to do them all at once.

I am thinking you're right on target with the upgrade order. The bottom end will handle it no problem imo. The gearing of that trans is crazy good so while a converter may be needed for the cam if you go warm (I didn't look at the one you like) you should be fine for a while. Maybe Vortec350SS or 03Sierraslt and others will chime in. They know their stuff with cams.

The stage 2 cam is good for the stock torque converter. I am just guessing the torque converter is most of my shifting problems. The truck only has 26,000 miles on it. The transmission shifting from 1st to 2nd gear is slow. Only under WOT. I have no problems under normal driving conditions.

Just because they say their stage 2 cam is L86 and LT1 is for a stock convertor doesn't mean it will work for a truck. I just ran into this with my L86 and Texas Speed. I was ready to buy there stage 1 L86/LT1 cam because they said on the website it was fine for a stock stall.

But

When I called to talk to them about it and told them I wanted to keep the stock stall because I tow so much. They informed me it was way to big for a trucks stock stall. And suggested I get the stage 2 L83 5.3 cam with the 32% over fuel lobe.

So i put it in which was 218/226 .635/.635 LSA 113. I know your an 8 speed and I'm a 6 speed but I really would want much bigger on a stock stall. I love the cam though!!!!

Not saying your wrong for going with BTR. I would just double check since they group there L86 and LT1 cams together.
