Kenne Bell 2.4L Kit...

My statement was based on the assumption that the 5.3 was stock bottom end as you rarely see a forged 5.3 and the general rule is 10psi on a stock gen 3/4 bottom end.
No doubt in my mind that the 2.4 could easily push close to 20psi on a 5.3L.

Had a buddy with a 2.4 on a mustang..was rebuilt 3xs over 4k miles. built 4.6 with 20 pounds barely 600......my stock LS6 made 553 at 7 pounds forged 710 at 14. It wasn't even a race with me at 710 and him with a 100 shot...got hot pulled timing.....done...
Not a big fan of the KB's.

um.........my buddies won't install them anymore. Anything else no problem don't want to deal with the customer not being happy, inlet temps, therefore no timing, requires meth etc.

Its ok, mustangs need to be dominated to be appreciated.
it was funny as hell when he wanted to sell it for cheap...I went met up with him drove it and was like this thing is slow, meanwhile he was deathly afraid of it.
turns out he blew the motor shortly afterwards, dumped and picked up a new Z06......go figure.....I must have kicked his *** properly

just amazes me how a KB needs 20 pounds and negative timing to do what most others can do with less boost and more timing and lower temps. Oh well to each their own, at least we have more choices.
