Default intercoolers

So I've been wondering if there is a diff between polished and black intercoolers ( really because I painted mine black so it doesn't stick out a ton from behind my black grill ) .
I came across these video with some info and wanted to get some feed back on what y'all think about the results.

pretty cool i didn't know black would increase heat radiation... I think tho the way most of us have our intercoolers mounted it would absorb the heat more with the sun and being in front of a radiator then emit it. Never know tho. I plan to paint mine black but for the same reason you did to hide it.

Yea now I want to do mine. I didn't paint it when I first put it in the truck because I thought black would absorb more heat making it a bit more inefficient. But maybe this is why all of our A/C condensers are black and not aluminum. Cool vid. I'm glad you posted it up.

I was glad to find something showing that I didn't hurt my intercooler performance by painting it black. Im the person that likes seeing facts kinda liked this instead of oh you're going to change the performance of it with nothing to back it up at all. I'm glad y'all enjoyed it like myself

Wow thats a tiny core.
There's a good amount of reading on old carb. intakes. Painting black more uniform air temps.
Painting inside engines and bottom of intakes.

What was the outlet air temp of the black core? After heat soak?
And after air flow across the core?

Very loose experiment. In the real world unless you clog the fins of the intercooler with paint it wont make an appreciable difference.

The difference of the outlet temps with the fan blowing through black vs not black 3 degrees. When the fan wasnt blowing it did make a huge difference

Do you want to argue about the experiments validity or are you just pointing out their results?

id like to see them do logged AIT temps on a car to see what difference is. I did this test many years ago on one of my cars and AIT temps didnt really change much at all idle or driving. I did it cause someone told me it was going to make my AIT hotter so i did a before and after test
