Default intercooler question

How much cfm would a FMIC need to flow in order to satisfy my 5.3l pushing about 6 psi?

Umm hm, maybe 750cfm. Honestly man I am not sure, I am doing a intercooler and I am going to use something that flows at least 1000cfm. Hell I dont know maybe I should find one that flows more, I cant see to find any cfm ratings or a conversian to find out how much cfm I am using.

Cool

Can you data log your MAF?

From Forced Inductions

CFM = (lb./min of air)/.069

so maybe CFM = (42 lb/min)/.069 = 609

If that is right then I am flowing somewhere around 840-880cfm.

Cool

That is interesting because at an indicated 9 psi I see top MAF readings of 55.32 lb/min to 57.49 lb/min. That means my CFM at 5400 rpm is in the area of 800 to 830.
