Since my Intercooler for the Turbo is hidden under the front end it does not get a whole lot of air flow and in thus my Boosted Intake Temps are usualy about 125-140 degrees so, I had an idea to help get my Intake Temps down with the summer heat.
I mounted two 10inch 1,000cfm each Electric fans to it, now my Intank Temps are now 100-118!!! And thats power you can feel and it cost $125 total for the fans and the custom wiring I put together. They are on full on or off at the flip of a switch. They draw a tiny 5 amps each...

nice setup lord aries. Is there a way to mount that FMIC in a vertical position like between your tow hooks? the reason i ask is My temps are ONLY 2-12 degrees over ambient @ 8 #'s of boost on like say a 75-80 degree day and that is with the mounting of my intercoooler as listed above. Just an Idea.

I thought about this a little while ago for the way procharger mounts there intercooler, same as above. Now that I know it will make a big difference, its definitly on my list of things to do. Good work man!

This is how Livernois mounts it, it has more air flow on Silverado's/Tahoe's/Suburbans but, the Cladded Avalanche bumper hangs down further. I trimed as much bumper away as i could with out messing up the look of the bumpe, can not Front mount too much cutting would have to be done and it would probably not look so great... besides, with it hidden it makes for a nice surprise! hehe
I thought about a Temp activated switch but, I like having them at full power on demand... And less things to go wrong with just an on/off relay...

I think if you set it up with a pressure switch like this one (http://www.mcmaster.com/ PN 3460K11) you could have your self a fully automatic fan system for your truck. You probably only need the fans when it's boosted, and with this, you won't "forget" to flip the fans on. And you could set it up with the manual switch too. Just an idea like Mikegyver said.

Thats pretty sweet, I'll take a look at it... They do make a dif in the intake temps even when not in boost because the intercooler gets heated up by the surronding air... Also, if you let it get hot then turn them on, it takes a minute to get the cooler temps down...
