Default To intercool, or not to intercool

I'm thinking about buying a magnacharger supercharger... the one with the heat exchanger is an extra $1,300, is it worth it to go ahead and buy it? Or should i wait and get a front mount air-to-air intercooler for it? I could get one of those for about $600-ish... Thanks for any help!

You're not gonna be able to plumb a front mount intercooler easily. The air to water heat exchanger sits under the supercharger, and the front mounted intercooler cools the water down and it circulates the coolant via a electric pump. IMO it is definately worth the extra money. I have a Radix on my 03 SS and I am running 8-9lbs which I could not do without the intercooler. If you don't get it you'll be sorry.

If you buy a magna charger, get the intercooled on. Even their IAT's are high, but it would be even worse with out a intercooler. And dont forget about heat soak
