Cool

If the stock in-tank pump is working properly then you can leave it in place. Do you have a fuel pressure guage? If not get one and monitor it when you are WOT and you will know if your fuel pressure is dropping off. You are going to have to tune for the injectors so you may as well get a new tune for all the upgrades at once but you will not be able to run the injectors until you get tuned for them.. You may not need meth but you will need to log some data to make sure that you are not getting any KR at WOT and that your IATs are not too high ( < 160*) which they should not be with the FMIC. With my tune at 10 psi I get 4* to 7* of KR and an equal amount of timing pulled. If I run meth I don't get any KR but you will need to tune for the meth as well if you add it.

Take your time and do it right.

ok sounds good no i dont have a fuel pressure gauge yet. yea that my plans getting everything at once the dyno tunning again. will i still need to log some data after the dyno? also with the b/c how does it work? let say the car is tuned at 12 psi at a high setting what happins when u put it at a low setting? it still uses the same tune as 12 psi right? if it does will it run ok ?

If the truck is re-tuned on a dyno after installing all the new parts then in theory you will not need to log again. I would not leave it there. You are planning to run 12 psi which is quite a lot on a stock block and things can go wrong in a hurry. I would recommend that you log WOT runs on a regular basis so that you get a feeling for how everything is working and learn your system a bit more. It may be time to step up to some logging software at a minimum and probably logging/tuning software as it is the next logical step. A wideband O2 sensor would also be a good investment as logging stock narrow band O2s can be misleading. I just finally went to a wideband O2 myself and it is a bit of an eye opener.

I have the STS b/c and you set it on a manual control for the high setting and on the wastegate spring pressure on the low setting. You control it electonically from a switch in the cab through a solenoid valve identical to the one on the passenger side of the intake manifold. You tune it for 12 psi and it will run the same tune at the lower boost setting. Mine seems to run fine on either setting but I do get KR on the higher boost setting if I don't run meth. I am just starting to tune for the meth now I have the wideband installed. I think you will be fine on the lower setting if you are properly tuned for the high setting.

12 psi = or if you are not careful.

Have fun be careful

With the fmic you will likely not need meth for cooling but might need it for fuel. If you get KR at 12 psi they may be able to add fuel or pull timing or a combination of both. I am running just under 13* timing at WOT and with 7* being pulled for KR I was down to 5* or 6*. With some more fuel (meth) I got the timing back. With FI you will not know till you are on the dyno and you may still want to tweak it some after that.

I am not sure what the best logging software is. I am using AutoEnginuity and it does the job. It is not perfect and it is a little slow and it would be nice if it provided more data hits to make it a better source of information for fine tuning.

That sounds good to me. You may be able to get away without the BOV for under 12 psi boost but it won't hurt to have it. I would take the fuel pressure guage, wideband O2 and logging software before the BOV if it came to a question of money. I really think you should have the fuel pressure guage and wideband O2 at least to go with the above. You have the right parts to make 10-12 psi but you need to be able to monitor it as well.
