Default IAT temps?

What is the best way to monitor the IAT temperature? Is there a way to tap into the computer signal for it or would a stand alone gauge with a sending unit in the intake tube work better?. I want to try wraping my intake tube with some sort of insulation and also try to get some cooler air into the K&N so need to see what is working and what is not.

Aeroforce scan gauge. When I don't have my laptop plugged in, the SG is. Handy little item IMO.

I use an Aeroforce Scan gauge too. I pretty much leave it set on IAT's and KR and I watch them like a pedophile at disneyland.

Thanks, Sounds like the Aeroforce is the way to go. I have heard that Autometer was coming out with one but don't know if its available yet.
