Default W/A Intercooler is Installed!

Hey guys i stayed up till 3am this morning tryin to get my Intercooler in. Well finally i got to bed to get a fresh start.

Went to ACE and got all the hoses and stuff.

Just got back from sonic... IATs never got over 90* after idling for 25 minutes.. Last time they rose up to 130*.

And i dont even have a "Heat Exchanger" for the water yet..
Just threw it together till the parts get here.

Hope it does me good!!

You guys with W/A Intercoolers.... What Mixture do yall use? Right now i just threw some green coolant and water in it for today.

Im goin to get some DexCool since thats what my truck takes anyway. Just wondering what ratio...

Probably a 70/30 Distilled H20/Dex Cool?

your best bet is strait water with water wetter but there is no protection from freezing so you have to switch over in the winter. check out the chart on this page.

Water wetter should be enough in Crystal Springs, MS, shouldn't it? What's it get down to in the winter? 40°?

Does the temprature in the W/A IC get high enough to benefit from the watter wetter? I have always wondered if it makes any difference in low temp environments. I don't see 100* water dropping 30* from just watter wetter......

You would be supprised.... it will get in the 20s from time to time but not long enough to freeze much.

Water Wetter with H2o worked great for me. If your running a daily driver, use premixed Prestone and leave your cold weather worries behind.
