Exactly how I wanted to respond that that post. Beat me to it.
Wow, that sucks man. Good job finding the problem. This could have easily turned into a trashed motor. Have you checked to see if anything made its way into the gate?
Ok so I went out to the shop to pull the gate off and this is what I found!! I have a 1.5'' flex pipe between the downpipe and wategate the flex liner collapsed resulting in a 3/4'' diameter hole for the gate to dump through.Solid liners are a must on any part of the hot pipes even the gate dump. 20psi with a walbro 255 I wont try it again.

The flex coupling was after the gate and none of it came apart. Silly me I thought these were just a no no on the crossover,high egt's is what gets them not velocity.
