Default Help me ID a Supercharger

Looking for help ID'ing this supercharger. Seller doesn't know what brand/model it is, but says it's self contained with an oil reservoir (catch can?). Impeller looks an awful lot like a P1sc. I vaguely recognize the logo cast into the volute but don't recall off hand good or bad. Much appreciation in advance.

That is not an ATI Blower of any vintage I am familiar with, nor is that their logo (unless it was different 20yrs ago)

Power Dyne, Vortech, ATI (later just known as procharger) and Rotrex are the major companies. That stand alone oil reservoir is kind of a Rotrex staple, but I dont know that they made anything for our trucks. Assuming that is a truck bracket, doesnt really look like it from here.

I agree- it doesn't look like any I've seen from the one's you've mentioned- even older models that pop up for Gen1 SBC. I thought the Rotrex systems had an oil cooler and pump as well?

Allegedly that's a truck bracket.....

I forgot about Paxton (bought by Vortech or vice versa) logo isnt the same as what we see there

I think we are looking for a company that existed before the internet, if that makes sense lol

Can you open it up? If its belt driven internally its a Power Dyne. If its gear to gear, we still have options lol

second pic, center right of the pic: do you see that tab/boss thats broken off and laying on the red towel? Make sure that doesnt belong to your kit, and if it does make sure you know where it goes and you have a good welder or are a good welder to get it back on

EDIT: theres a part number or something red under a piece of tape on the oil reservoir in the second pic. Can you ask for a clearer image?

EDIT EDIT: that bracket is some home brew pile. Like a universal bracket welded to something with holes drilled in it for the vehicle it was meant for. From here the welding looks decent, but I can assure you that pig flexes like a wet noodle and it wont be long before that universal blower bracket cracks (if it hasnt already)

Second pic- center right boss/bracket- it's broken off an intercooler. I didn't post the rest of the pictures to not convolute the thread with additional, non helpful info. Great eye, BTW!

EDIT1- that red writing on the tape says "Oil Line" with an > arrow.

EDIT2- I wondered about that- one of those plate jobs that you cut and drill. I can weld, but it's uglier than the illegitimate child of Michael Moore and Rosie Odonnel. Fortunately my father in law has been a FT welder for 30+ years.

I'll see if he can open it up though I'm not optimistic with it being a fleabay seller.

Best I've been able to sort out for you is the external reservoir is an early attempt to eliminate engine oil feed. Australian Vortechs used it according to a forum post I found, but no pics so that's got a weak basis

the volute logo is still a wash for me

what is intriguing to me is that the blower you asked for help on is smooth behind the pulley, whereas every damn blower I've looked at from 1991 to now has ribs on the case, especially behind the pulley

really old Paxton's and all Rotrex are a different design. It wasn't until the NOVI 2000 that Paxton had a blower like we are used to seeing, and like what you have

I even looked at marine offerings thinking maybe someone got clever for a budget build, nada

Sir, you've done did me a bamboozle

You and me both! Glad I'm not the only one getting frustrated and roadblocked.

I've been looking at superchargers for months to piece a system together, and it doesn't look new school or old school like an SN60 or mcollogh (spelling?). Afraid to gamble that much on something that could potentially not satisfy my airflow needs, need a rebuild, and have no parts available or way to identify it.

They logo is driving me nuts because I've seen it before. Even tried Google image searches.
