Default Help finding a belt.

I am have been searching for a 117-118.5 inch long 10 rib belt. Not having much luck. 8 rib stuff the local store has 10 rib seems to be a bit odd.. :
)

Looked on Gates site no luck.

If I can't find the 10 rib to the correct length, I have a couple of options.

1) go to an 8 rib.
or
2) redesign the belt wrap, and drive the altenator differently.

I recently looked into belts when doing my research on 8 and 10 rib swaps and the longest belt I found in 10 rib was 111.5" and made by Gates. Neither Dayco, Bando nor Goodyear list any 10-rib belts over 100".

Yea, thats what I have seeing. Looks like I will be going with an 8rib, unless I can figure something else out.
Did you happen to know of any cog MFG's?

Sorry Rick, I wasn't specificly looking for cogs so I didn't pay a lot of attention to it. I know Dayco had a Top-Cog listed in their catalog but I think it was mostly small timing belts. For the length you are wanting in a cog, you may have to look into industrial belt manufacturers. Try Potomac Rubber and see if they have anything you can use.

double sixes??? I was looking at a ZR1 blower and thought that double six rib belts would be better than the expense of 10ribs stuff. or like you said drive the alternator with a seperate belt.

LPE has one special made right around that length for their custom 2010 camaro 10 rib. Try giving them a ring

Not sure if this helps, I just remembered reading it the other day.

I'd call Innovaters West. If they are selling 10 rib kits you'd think they would have a belt for R&D.
