which heads for boost
#11
That is a highly debated topic on here. It all depends on the goals and purpose of the truck. The general consensus is low boost/high cr for a daily or street vehicle that sees a good bit of out of boost driving or high boost/low cr for a max effort race application. Fueling plays a part in it as well when it comes to detonation resistance.
how must boost can be ran safely for a DD that sees the track now and then?
to the OP i hope you dont mine me asking.....

I believe when I'm done it'll be a track night weekend carshow truck i beat on it on the street when I drive cause I'm in Maine cause there's a lot of good country roads in towns where it's 1 sheriff on duty at a time (let's be honest barely anyone thinks we have electricity) . But I'd like to find a happy medium of compression race street that's sorta y I'm doing an 80 and not an 88

That is the same setup I have. Same pistons. I run the TSP 2.5 heads for a truck. I ended up opening up the combustion chamber a little, and that brought the compression down where I wanted it.
I will be doing another build soon and going with the 317s.
If you go with an L92 head and a big cam, you should check your valve clearance as those pistons were not designed for them.
