Default guys with ebay ic, 31x11.5x3 kits

So I'm looking at buying the kit off eBay that consists of that size intercooler and the universal 3 inch piping kit to complete my kb kit. Iv seen a few of you guys in here use that kit and I just won't to know how complete it was with what came with it. I wanna mount it behind my grill on my 02 silverado. So what extra couplers did you have to get if any and how did it all work for you. Thanx.

You will have to cut the core support out and use the intercooler as part of the structural core support if you want to install it up top. That's why I put them in the valance.

Yea I knew that. Ha ha I was wondering about the piping and couplers that came with those kits. If everything was in them to make it work

Yea I saw the pics of yours. Were you able to build the whole cold side with what was in that kit? Or did you have to get some extra stuff

I had to get a 2.5 - 3.0 90 elbow to go off the turbo, a 4 - 3 to go on to the throddle body, and I also got 2 3in elbow's that you see going into and out the intercooler. so yeah I had to get some extra stuff but the kit still helps alot cause it came with a lot of cuplers and nice clamps, plus the mandrel bends.

Like kyle said its much easier to mount in valance and there has been no real drop in iats between the 2 locations . Its up to you but I would be personally a little skiddish of my fans trying to pull air through a 3"intercooler...transmission cooler...ac condenser and then my radiator in south Mississippi summer weather. A few guys have had heating issues ...especially with electric fans. Just a thought but good luck.

Here is mine. I have had it several ways and can honestly say that boost seems to come in quicker with this setup. You figure when the cooler is behind the valance you are running 8-9ft tubing, when behind the grille 4-5ft. Less distance to travel. I do not notice and cooling issues in the summer with this setup. Oh and it looks better....

Yeah I would have no problem with the way kbracings kits are, I did mine this way cause I built it all myself, i mounted my trans cooler and power steering cooler underneath instead, and im putting in a auto or on switch for my efan so I can pull air throw it at low speeds or setting at the staging line.
