Default General FI Questions

2006 CC lm7, DD street truck, Ive decided I need boost. Really want a rear mount but I already have ARH longtubes that I want to continue to use. So Ive decided on a TVS. Couple things I want opinions on. Truck has 3.23's and I will not be changing that, blowers generally speaking prefer lower gears, what are everyone's thoughts and some results from members who have run a tvs with high gears? I also want 2 get the 2300 vs the 1900, mostly because my future plans are more motor but thats at least 1 summer away if not 2, will I be dissapointed in the 2300 on the 5.3 in the meantime? Everyone seems to recommend the 1900 for anything less than a 6.0l. No plans of cam and head work on the 5.3, only looking for things that will also work on the other motor when that happens...Probably a 408. The truck will not see any track time, just a fun street truck. Thanks!!

You'll just have to run a dinner plate size pulley for now on the 5.3 but hell if ya got the cash buy the 2300!

I was in your shoes about 6 years ago and went with STS kit. Liked it alot.
Those hears might be a little tall for the blower though.

If the truck is light enough and you put a small stall conerter with it those gears should be an issue for a street truck. Some 3.73s would be ideal but the 3.23s won't be a disaster simply because if the tq that 2300 will make... I would consider a jackshaft model so you can underdrive it if need be on the 5.3 and overdrive it on the stroker

Leftcoast32 is no longer a sponsor or board member. Black Bear Performance is a Manacharger dealer,

My 1900 did fine on my 408, but if you have the cash get the 2300. What's your HP goal?
