Full boost RPM
Hey guys, been messing with my setup for poor prepped surfaces. Doing Boost by Speed with the Holley system. I’ve been successful bringing full boost (20 psi) in quicker and quicker to the point where it’s about 5500 rpms/70ish mph. Timing at 20 is 15 degrees. The curve is fairly linear from a start to that full boost. This is a SBE gen IV 5.3 with dished pistons and a 243 head. I’d like to hear opinions as to aggressive boost curves without twisting a rod? Vehicle’s 3400 lbs and on e85 also. Thanks guys.

You sure that has dished pistons?
What fuel are you on? 20# and 15* is kind of a lot, but E should be fine for that - i think...
5500 should be safe for your max boost, maybe keep timing a degree lower until about 6k or so when you can be certain torque is not as high.
